Who are we:

Sunset Immigration, PPLC

While some immigration cases can be very simple, there are many government agencies involved, many different forms for many different types of cases, many different policies and regulations involved, very complicated legal concepts, and many different ways that a case can go badly. We understand that this process can be stressful and that you are investing a substantial amount of time and money. We take great pride in the level of service that we provide and in the satisfaction of our clients.

Sunset Immigration, PPLC, was initially launched as Matthew Blaisdell, Esquire, in the neighborhood of Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We continue to draw inspiration from the dynamism, entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and the warmth that we’ve received in this time.

Outside of our practice, we spend substantial time assisting other attorneys in the areas of ethics and practice management.

Matthew Blaisdell, owner

Matthew is the former Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) National Consumer Protection and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, and is former Vice Chair on its Ethics Committee. He has assisted several jurisdictions at the city and state level in developing legislation to protect immigrant consumers, and regularly provides trainings and lectures related to these topics as well as to many different substantive areas of practice.

Prior to launching his practice, he obtained an LL.M in environmental law and is a graduate of the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute (NYCELLI).
